March 2009 - Spring Break Cruise to Port Aransas
This was the biggest and longest TMCA cruise that we have ever led down coast. We had 29 boats signed up for this cruise and we had to make accommodations for all. Josh and I took a driving trip several months before to scope out some docking/restaurant locations. In Pt. O'Conner, we were fortunate to find The Sanctuary at Costa Grande.
Some boats were single handed, some had boat problems during the trip and had to turn back or wait until our return trip, and some went offshore. The first part of the trip the weather was not nice but we kept moving on hoping that the weather would get better and it did!

March 16, 2009 - Matagorda to Pt. O'Conner - Here's the HOME RUN! We have a special invitation and arrangement with the management to stay at The Sanctuary at Costa Grande on our trip down and our trip back.

August 2008 - Hurricane IKE
Hurricane IKE left its mark in our marina. Fortunately, we fared much better than most marinas in the area as we did not lose a single boat! We had two sailboats that experienced rigging failure and lost their sticks, and a number of boats had "dock rash" from not being tied up properly or having dock lines break. The marina is almost back after a 2.5 million dollar rebuild.
This car (a Lexus 430) was left in the marina and was later pulled out of the fairway just behind out boat. Last trade did not have a scratch!

Last trade did not have a scratch!We removed all of our canvas for the storm, and as luck would have it, the bimini tore when we were re-installing it after the storm passed! Realizing that our canvas was 9 years old, we decided to do a complete canvas replacement. After the monetary $hock passed, we're enjoying our new enclosures.
