Early start. We headed out at 6:30 am for our long trip to Gulfport. It was a little rolly at first but it settled down once we went under the Dauphin Island bridge. It picked up again as we were making our approach into Gulfport at around 4:30 pm. I think every time we've come into this area it's always been rolly going into a marina! Teak has really gotten used to the rolling because today she ate her food the whole way and it stayed down. What a boat dog!!!!
In years past we would see loads of dolphins, but this year very few. Today was the first time on this trip we really had any run along with us. I really miss this! Maybe it's the heat and they prefer winter months (like we do).
We passed a lot of shrimpers who were just anchored out. These decided to tie stern to stern!
A good day on the Mississippi Sound!
We knew that a couple of TMCA boats were headed our way and here comes the first one. M/V Magic Ride, Stuart and Gaye Lynn Zarrow.
Gulfport Municipal Marina
We stayed at this marina once before in 2012 and forgot how high the docks were.
M/V Last Trade is docked all the way down at the end of this dock. What a walk to the bath house and to walk Teak! Exercise, exercise and more exercise - YES! Glad it's only for one night! Next time we'll take a closer tie!
Check out the transom on this boat. It looks like an image of a duck's head by the swim ladder!
