December 2009 - Stern Thruster Installation, Bottom Job & Strip Painted

Barb decided that she wanted a stern thruster to make life easier.  Here we go! Let's cut BIG holes in our boat and hope it works out. The professionals came in and in 2 days we had a great addition to our floating home!

It works great and makes docking (and the accompanying tension) a lot easier!

November 2009 - Oak Island - Job Beason Park Marina

This was supposed to be a cruise to Smith Point but due to low water no one could get up close enough to the bulkhead to tie up! We decided to head over to Oak Island to the new Job Beason Park Marina.
Another fun cruise in spite of adversity!

November 2009 - French Picnic at Double Bayou

Every year TMCA (Texas Mariners Cruising Association) heads over to Double Bayou for our annual French Picnic. All boats nose into the bank and set anchor in the field. Participants bring a dish to share and as night falls the big bonfire blazes.

October 2009 - Allen's Landing Trip

August 2009 - Labor Day Trip to GYB

Labor Day at Galveston Yacht Basin, 24 boats participated with the usual docktails, pot luck dinners, breakfasts and quality time with friends.

May 2009 - Memorial Day at GYB

Memorial Day at the Strand, Galveston Yacht Basin. We had 30 boats that participated.

April 2009 - Easter at Harborwalk Galveston

March 2009 - Spring Break Cruise to Port Aransas

This was the biggest and longest TMCA cruise that we have ever led down coast. We had 29 boats signed up for this cruise and we had to make accommodations for all. Josh and I took a driving trip several months before to scope out some docking/restaurant locations. In Pt. O'Conner, we were fortunate to find The Sanctuary at Costa Grande.

Some boats were single handed, some had boat problems during the trip and had to turn back or wait until our return trip, and some went offshore. The first part of the trip the weather was not nice but we kept moving on hoping that the weather would get better and it did!

March 15, 2009 - Freeport to Matagorda (Matagorda Harbor Marina - Dinner at Waterfront Restaurant)

March 16, 2009 - Matagorda to Pt. O'Conner - Here's the HOME RUN! We have a special invitation and arrangement with the management to stay at The Sanctuary at Costa Grande on our trip down and our trip back.

March 17, 2009 - Pt. O'Conner to Port Aransas (Island Moorings)

March 18, 2009 - Play and rest Day in Port Aransas

March 19, 2009 - Port Aransas to Pt. O'Conner (Bring something to BBQ and a dish to share)

March 20, 2009 - Pt. O'Conner to Matagorda Matagorda Harbor Marina - Dinner at Waterfront Restaurant or pot luck

March 21, 2009 - Matagorda to Freeport (Bridge Harbor Yacht Club - Pot Lock Dinner on the docks)

March 22, 2009 - Freeport to Clear Lake (HOME)
