Last night a 48 foot Bayliner came in and their plan was to leave first thing in the morning for the 9:00 am lock opening. We decided to wait and head out after them because we did not think we would both fit together in the lock. When 8:30 came around, they decided to head in town for breakfast not knowing what time they would get back, so we headed out. When we got to the lock another boat was waiting. They had stayed on the blue line wall the night before and told us that they had a visitor early in the morning - a skunk! Yup, they had the windows open and it sprayed their boat. Not a good way to start the day!
Flight Lock - two locks in one!
All of our Canadian friends told me that we had to try their Kawartha ice cream. We did and it was good! I must say that our Kroger Moose Tracks is good too!!!!!
After we tied up at the wall for the night this new Tiara 53 wanted to go through the lock. They were delivering this boat to the Thousand Islands.
Our first night without power!
The weather has been in the high 70's, low 80's and down to the high 50's at night. This was not what we were expecting! I guess because we brought a lot of cold weather clothing.
