10/17/2012 – Wednesday - Lake Charles play day

The wind was blowing so we all decided not to dinghy over to the casino, but rather take a cab.  We had a great meal and everyone pigged out!  As we were finishing, someone said “Stardust is almost here”.  Stardust is a 73’ Hatteras that was following just behind our group. We called them and they were kind enough to stop and pick us up.  They pulled in to the casino dock, all 12 of us got on and rode back to the Lake Charles city docks where we helped them tie up with us.  Now we have seven boats!!!!   A front went through around 3:00 AM, the wind shifted and waves started slapping against our stern.

  1. Hi Josh,

Would you be so kind as to include your adventures in the Flordia Panhandle with comments on the marinas and anchorages noting which ones can be reached by sailboat with a 50ft+ mast? Say hello to Barry & Barb for us.
