9/16/2014 - Tuesday - Port of Delcambre to Berwick / Morgan City Public Docks

We started out around 7:30 AM to the fuel dock ($3.05/gal - can't pass on that) before our hour long run back to the ICW.  The cool front that came through did not last long so we were happy for the overcast skies with some rain to keep the temperature down. Nothing exciting happened today except we could not understand the Berwick Traffic guy and had a little excitement while trying to dock.  Some of us docked on the Berwick side and some of us on the Morgan City side.  This was not planned, it just happened (available space, placement of our bumpers, current, things like that).  Pete Lawton, Compliance Officer for the City of Morgan City told us that they will be rebuilding the docks, making it friendlier for boats like us and the work should start in January.  This would be great for us - Morgan City's recreational docking facilities have never been one of my favorites!
