April 9, 2016 Houma

Our big excitement for today was to have Sam and Pat Crowder on S/V Longhawk catch up with us.  They could not leave at the same time with us but since we stopped at more ports they were able to catch us.

Here comes S/V Longhawk!

M/V Contraband from Lake Charles coming in too.

Thank goodness two of the boats from the previous day left and made room for them.  One of the boats that came in yesterday decided he was going to stay and tag along with us.  We are starting to feel like magnets with other boaters want to tag along.

This is some of the sights you get to see going through Houma.  This is a very busy waterway and huge cargo gets transported constantly.

Harbormaster Ray told us about this restaurant.  It was a long walk but very good food!

This place must have been good too because it was packed.
