11/13/2012 – Tuesday – Pensacola play day

We woke up to the temperature being 42 outside.  Thank goodness we have good heaters on the boat!  Today’s our last day in Pensacola with the rent car before heading out to Destin tomorrow.  We started the day with a grocery run and then to Joe Patti’s.  Couldn’t leave without some Joe Patti’s prepared coleslaw, more steamed shrimp for dinner, smoked salmon to go with our cream cheese and bagels for breakfast and fresh garlic spread for soft fresh bread.  Joe Patti’s coleslaw is “to die for” along with Joe Patti’s other items!  The coleslaw is the best that Josh and I have ever had.   Around 1:00 PM the guys headed out to return the rent car so we are back to walking or biking.  I packaged the smoke salmon and put it in the freezer, walked Teak, vacuumed the rugs and dusted the mini blinds.  After Josh returned he settled our bill at the marina and we then went for a nice bike ride around the historical district of downtown and along the waterfront.  What a way to end a day!  We put the bikes away just before the sun went down and settled in for the evening to enjoy our steamed shrimp and coleslaw dinner.  Pensacola was a nice place to stay for a week but now it’s time to move on.
