At
9:45 Josh and I took off on our bikes and rode over to the beach area (about 2
miles) to explore. Around 10:45 we met
up with Barry and Barb and rode around to see where the grocery stores were
located then out for lunch to a local favorite seafood restaurant named J. Michael’s
that was recommended by the Bay Point Marina Director. The food was okay, but we’ve certainly had
better! After lunch, Josh and I went to the
local Winn-Dixie for milk, bread, bagels, cream cheese and some chicken
drumsticks for dinner. Once back at the
boat and the food put away we took down our dinghy. It was a warm, sunny nice afternoon so we
took off to “dinghy explore” the canals and areas around the marina. As we were heading out of the marina we
looked back and laughed, our boat looked really out of place! It looks like a tender to a big boat (see photo!). We have run into a lot of "loopers" (boaters that are doing or have done the great loop) and have had some interesting conversations with them. It's fun to pick their brains and learn about the inland waterways for our future travels. They have all been great people! Tomorrow
we will take our dinghies over to St Andrew’s State Park for some beach time.
